SUMMER 2026
Musical Theater Workshop
Does your teen want to improve their singing voice or confidence on the stage?
Our third annual summer Musical Theater Workshop for teens ages 11-18 will be held in Storrs this summer.

Workshop dates/times:
August 2026 (exact dates/times being determined)
The goal of the workshop is to empower young singers through intensive vocal technique training within a group setting, practice solo singing through individual instruction, engage in confidence building activities, and explore stage presence and movement strategies.
Tuition for this workshop is $100* and will culminate in a Cabaret-style performance that will be open to the public.
How is this workshop structured?
This workshop will utilize group work (both large and small groups) for learning healthy vocal technique and enhancing singing skills. Participants will engage in acting exercises and drama games to improve stage presence, build confidence, learn storytelling through singing and body movement, and practice clear diction. This workshop also features an individual component which will include a solo voice lesson, vocal coaching, and song expression guidance.

Is there a performance?
To help incorporate the skills learned during the workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to sing a solo, duet, or trio for our Consonare Cabaret performance on the Saturday or Sunday following. Each singer will choose a solo/duet from a list of songs provided (link to a song list of options) prior to the start of the workshop.

Where will the workshop take place?
The workshop will be held in Storrs-Mansfield. The current location will be announced very soon.

Space is limited for this workshop to ensure individual instruction is available.

*Please contact us if the cost of tuition is a financial hardship.
