Illumination: stories of shadow and light is a moving concert experience that illuminates the stories of stark contrast of darkness and light as told through the natural beauty and ethereal sound of Voices of Concinnity, with special guest lutenist, Luce Burrell, on theorbo.

Luce Burrell (they/them) is a lutenist based in New York. They have performed with ensembles such as Clarion Music Society, Lazzuli Baroque, Silentwoods Collective, Theotokos Ensemble, and in concert series for Gotham Early Music Scene and SoHip Boston. Luce holds a bachelor's degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and a master’s degree from the Jacobs School of Music.

Voices of Concinnity is our professional vocal chamber ensemble consisting of 12 choral artists from diverse backgrounds that works to move audiences through innovative programming that melds the unique qualities of each voice into into a vibrant, rich choral sound. Voices of Concinnity is sponsored by Consonare Choral Community.

 

Our special guest, Luce Burrell, is a lutenist based in New York.
