We all have a story. Stories have traveled the world and centuries through songs passed down orally, which we often refer to as "folk songs". This concert will feature our Choir Matrix, Consonare Youth Choir, and special guest, Beck 'n Call, sharing songs both old and new from Scotland, Newfoundland, Cuba, Norway, and more. Featuring choral arrangements by Ivette Herryman-Rodriguez, Eleanor Daley, Diana Woolner, Wyndreth Berginsdottir, and more. It may even include a new composition from the "Being Composed" workshop our singers engaged in early March.
Come join us on a journey of how our stories are passed down through song.
COVID-19 PROTOCOLS:

**Beck 'n Call are a 6-member band from CT’s Quiet Corner playing Americana, blues, newgrass, new Celtic, and offbeat- and retro-pop. After meeting through a music jam in Woodstock, the band formed in 2011 from a collective love of harmony and experimentation and because they couldn't get enough of Tim O'Brien, Gillian Welch, and Patsy Cline. Their style blends acoustic and electric guitar, rich bass, sweet mandolin, and vocals from smooth to smoky, with a folksy sound that will make you want to tap your toes and sing along. Known for playing the Vanilla Bean, Woodstock’s Twilight Concert Series, and local wineries, they also enjoy performing at community events and non-profit fundraisers.
